SYNOPSIS:
ACT 1: THE GHOST BOAT RISES
As New Orleans revelers flood the French Quarter, a rotting paddlewheel steamboat materializes on the Mississippi, its calliope playing a familiar tune: “Ain’t No Party Like a Dead Man’s Party.” TikTok influencer Zoe (Jenna Ortega) and her friends board for “authentic vibes,” ignoring local warnings about the S.S. Sangria—a Prohibition-era pleasure cruiser where 300 souls vanished in 1926.
ACT 2: THE DEAD DONT REST
At midnight, the boat reanimates:
- The Drowned Band (zombie jazz musicians) kick off a killer set
- Captain LeRoux (Bill Skarsgård), a flamboyant ghoul with a pearl-handled straight razor, announces the rules: “Dance or be escorted off!”
